Réseau Urfist is organizing a study day on the impact of participatory science and research (PRS) on scientific communication. The study day will be held on Thursday November 16, 2023, at the University of Bordeaux.

Our first objective is to reflect on what PRS involves in terms of writing, publishing and promoting science. In particular, we want to understand how these approaches can renew ways of writing science, how they force us, both technically and ethically, to think differently about the auctoriality of scientific productions and, finally, how they call for the definition of new modes of visibility and relationship between academic scientific communications and other types of scientific communications.

The study day is aimed at information professionals and researchers from all disciplines who work in the field of participatory science and research, or whose research focuses on transformations in scientific communication or scientific and technical information.

The conference will be organized into a morning of plenary lectures, followed by a session of collective work on recommendations for researchers and journals on publishing participatory science and research. The day will end with a round-table discussion to examine the above points in the light of research projects in progress or recently completed.
